I really like this quote because it hit home with me, through all my challenges in life I realized it is not the event that determines who you are but how you look at it. Many things will happen to us that are not fair or really rock our world but how we deal with them and maybe more so how we think about them is more important then the event because our thoughts determine the outcome as it applies to who we will become as a result of the learning experience.
